Before Uploading

Images are everything on a website. The quality of an image can mean the difference between a professional looking website and a “Homemade” one.

Time spend improving the quality of images or getting the look “just right” is time well spent.

Uploading an Image

There are two ways of uploading an image to your website.

Image Properties

Once an image is uploaded you can use the Image Properties screen to change the size, justification, border, spacing and title of the image.

These changes can be made when you first add an image to a page or they can be changed once the image has already on the page.

Linking to a Larger Image

You can link an image on your webpage to a window containing a larger version of the image. Or link from a peice of text to an image. When the text or image is clicked the background fades and the image opens in a perfectly sized window.

Linking to a Document

You can create a link to a document such as a Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat file. Once the link is created you can click on the originating text and the document will open.

Linking to an Internal Webpage

You can create a [link] from one webpage on your website to another webpage on your website. This is called an Internal Hyperlink.

Linking to an External Webpage

You can link from a webpage on your website, to a webpage on another website.

Linking to a Group

You can link to a group of items within your shopping basket.  Before you begin ensure that you have already created the item you wish to link to.
