Show a contact form

Important Background

  • When a user clicks on any email on any website their browser will automatically look for and open an email client (such as outlook Express or Microsoft mail). If it finds the client and it has been setup with email settings the user will be able to send an email.
  • However, if the user has not setup an email client (e.g if it is not their PC or they use a web-based email service such as Yahoo/ Hotmail / Gmail) then they will not be able to send an email by simply clicking the email address.
  • To prevent this problem it is usual for websites to offer a contact form that automatically captures message text, turns it into an email and sends it to the website owner.
  • When you preview your website and click the contact page you will see that you customers are offered a choice ‘Click here if you would like us to contact you '. This opens up a new window and allows them to send a message which is turned into an email and sent to the email address entered in Part 3 above.

Limitations:

  • None

Usage:

  • If you choose ‘Yes’ then a professional icon and a link to a standard contact form will be placed in your contact page.
  • If you choose ‘No’ then the icon and link to the form will be removed.
  • We will place a special image code on your form to make sure that only humans can use it . This will prevent the spam robots from sending you spam emails as they cannot read the image with text that we include)

Show address

  • The address you entered above will be shown or switched off

Limitations:

  • Self explanatory - none

Usage:

  • Will show or hide the address entered above

Allow your pages to be printable

When users are viewing your site they may stumble across information that they may want to print. Not all webpages will print as they are viewed on screen. This is especially true if they contain background images or moving animation such as flash files.

This option allows your client to print off your pages in a format that is designed for a printer.
It will not contain your graphical branding but the page content will print naturally.

Limitations:

  •  None

Usage:

  • Will show or hide a ‘printable page’ link below your navigation list of pages.
