Creating a Link to an Anchor on a Different Page

You can create a link from a webpage to a specific point on another webpage, this specific point is known as an [anchor].

1. Go to Step 3 Webpages     

1. Select the page you want to the link to be directed to
    
2. Click Edit                   

1. Highlight the text or image you want users to be directed to
    
2. Click  Insert/Edit Anchor  

1. Click Create                                                                           

7. Enter a Unique name for your anchor, and make a note of it

Important - You must make a note of the full name of the anchor which should only be alpha numeric

8. Click Add to website
   
   
9. An Anchor icon appears to show the anchor has been placed
    
10. Go to the page the link is to originate from
     
11. Click Edit
     
12. Highlight the text you want to originate the link from
     
13. Click  Insert/Edit                                           

8. Click Webpage
    
9. Click Internal Webpage                                                                 

8. Choose the webpage you wish to link to         

8. Click Add to Website
    
9. Go back and highlight the text you want to originate the link from
    
10. Click Insert/Edit Link again                                              

8. Click External Webpage        

8. The box that appears will already have text in it. This text is the full address of the page you want to link to
    
9. Leaving the text in the box put your cursor to the very end of the text and type # (hash symbol) then the name of the anchor you created in step 7
    

Important – If the name is incorrect the link will not work
 

23. Click Add to website
     
24. Click Save & Preview
     
25. Click the originating text to test the anchor
