The main way in which this can be done is to add what is called an RSS feed.
There are numerous companies on the internet that will be able to provide you with the code required to add a news feed. A simple search should enable you to find one easily.
The code will then be given to you in the form of a file. Upload this file to your as you would uploading any other document, by clicking 'Upload' in the control panel and selecting to upload a document just as you would with a word or .pdf file.
Then on your page create an image or peice of text which will lead to the RSS feed. Create a hyperlink to it by highlighting the text or image and clicking on the yellow icon in the editor bar.
The user will then be able to sign up for your news feeds.
This is a feature that we will be adding as standard to the system, which should be avaliable by Spring next year.
