Question How do you improve picture quality?

Sometimes when I import pictures into my site, the quality is affected. What tips can you give me that ensure this does not happen?

To get optimal picture quality we would recomend uploading the images directly to the library.

To do this log into the control panel and click the upload button to the left and select Images. You can upload larger images this way which will improve the quality.

When you are changing the image size always use the editor by right clicking on the image and selecting image properties.

Although you can drag the corner of the image there will be lost of quality.

You can find free software online that will allow you to enhance or add effects to your images. Adding effects such as shadows or shading to an image can give it a professional finish.

We hope this is helpful,

There are two main ways that your image can be 'distorted'.
1. If the original is so big that our uploading system reduces it's size as its being uploaded
2. If you re-size the image on the page using our editing tools.
To prevent this from happening we recommend that you resize your images prior to uploading.
There are lots of tools out there that will do the job but the two that we recommend are:
To run on your PC : Picasa 3: Free download from Google
On the web : DrPic.com Free Web Picture Editor and Image Host - Crop, Resize, Text
