Default Postcodes

When you checkout in purchase details it asks for postcode details as a required field.

We don't use postcodes here and this will cause problems when people come to check out. Can this field be removed or at least be made non mandatory?

I’ve looked further into the issue with the postcodes and got a response from the provider.

It is possible to remove the requirement for the postcode field. By setting your own required fields it overrides the standard settings. The following steps will show you how.

1. Log into your Mal’s e-commerce account
2. Click ‘cart setup’
3. Click ‘Customise’
4. Click ‘Required Fields’
5. Check all the fields you want to make mandatory.

If you now test your shopping basket you will see the astrix will disappear next to the field denoting that it is not required. I have tested this on a site here and it works fine. But do let me know if you have any problems.

We hope this is helpful,
